Tire Rotation

I want to rotate my tires tomorrow. I have never done it before and i dont have an owners manual. Is there anything i should know, i have aftermarket tires and rim does that make a difference? Can i put any tire anywhere or is there a pattern you should use?

I usually rotate the fronts to the back, the backs to the front.

thanks, that link gave me everything i needed to know. lol now im not looking forward to doing this tomorrow as i dont have the best set up or tools. I hope its not to late because i really slipped this time around. i have not done this in a long time and im noticing quite a big of wear on the front tires. Lately i have been having a lot of vibration and shaking when i hit high way speeds, so im hoping i can put a stop to that

I bring the fronts straight back, cross the rears to the opposite side (up front, of course). This wall all tires spend time at each position.

If you're already thumping and vibrating, you're too late. Rotating should help with the vibration as long as the rear tires aren't as bad as the front. You might want to take it in to have the tires balanced and rotated by a garage if you really want to get the most wear out of them. i saw a guy in a small car the other day with his left rear bouncing like a basketball down the highway.
