Brightest Hid Temperature?

Well, I'm looking to get the brightest HID kits you can get, as i do all highway driving, and i'm never in the city, i like to see whats, way way ahead of me. I've been researching on the internet for a while now, and I've come up with 4300 kelvins is the brightest, as it gives the most energy to creating visible light, instead of visible colour, but 4300k still has a hint of yellow, while 5000 kelvins is the whitest without any hint of yellow, but it does have a hint of blue. What I'm looking for is the whitest and brightest. And i hear some people say 10k is the brightest, but with no evidence. Would 35w be good, or would 55w be that much better? I cannot seem to find 55w though.

The HID lights range from about 3000 to 7000 the lower the number the brighter the light. I hope this helps.

Don't over-think this. The difference in useable light between 35 and 55 watt HID systems is nearly nothing. Either the 4300 or 5000K will be about the best visible light. Higher kelvin temp HID lights will give less visibilty. It's so much more light than a standard halogen bulb that you'll be floored. So much so, they're not legal in my state. I'm not sure about the other states.

I'm from Saskatchewan Canada, the limit is 55w bulbs, cannot have anything higher then that, the light output doesn't matter as the light isn't angled at the other drivers faces when your driving by them. And, is $400 CND a good price, for high beams, low beams, and my fog lights?

I really like the look of the purple 12,000k HID's, will there be a big difference in the light given off from the 5,000k HID kits? I know where I'm going to be purchasing them. Once i get the money of course.
