01 Sierra Rocker Panel Replacement

just wondering if anyone has replaced the rh side rocker panel that mounted on the truck, looks like it runs from behind front fender to back of cab approx 81 inches. mine has a rust hole right by the drivers door sill area. any tips ?replace or repair.

Mine is starting to blow out from the inside.. starting around the 3rd rear door to the back of the cab corner, I didn't expect these trucks to go to shit in only 10 years, and yes I wash it. No better than the old rust buckets.

 

I'll be replacing the whole panel, once it starts the entire thing will go.

 

I'm also getting allot bubbles from the inside around the rear wheel well openings too...nice, I'll be doing the rockers and getting rid of it, I thought GM was using better metal/techniques for preventing rust like the 70's trucks, I guess I was wrong.

 

They should have plastic rockers or coat the damn things with POR 15 on the inside from the factory.
