Question Re Aftermarket Exhaust System For Suburban

Recommended Posts

I'm working on customizing a new 2009 Suburban LT 1500 with the upgraded 6.0L V8 engine. I'm considering upgrading the exhaust system (not just the tip). Why you ask? Simply for the few extra horsepower, the look, and the sound.

My concern is that it will tripp the sensors on the truck and be a constant irritant to me. I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience upgrading the exhaust on these trucks before going with a particular vendor. I see one from Borla (cat back system) but i want to make sure it wont trip the 'check engine' light. Thanks in advance!

Cat back systems have exactly zero effect on engine management. No SES lights or anything to worry over. Sadly, they offer very little in real HP gains either... but they sure do sound good!

Try Corsa. Great Quality and you can choose Touring or Sport. No drone. Sounds great when you get on the loud pedal!
