How Much Front Spacer Do I Need?

Ok, So far I have read a lot, completed the Black Bear tune on Monday. Today, Tuesday, got the 'vette servo installed happy with both mods.

Now, I want to lift the front up a bit with out making the tires look small, for mpg I will not go larger tires, bought this truck for the mpg, 6.0 is gone, never to return.

My factory tires are 265/65/18. If anyone has pics with this tire size and a front spacer lift, please post or send me a pic. So what size spacer for the front?Thank you.......Tom

I got 1.5" on mine Tom...however I did bump up slightly to 275/65R18's,check out the "My Garage" link for some pics!

I have the RC kit in my truck. They come in diffrent higths adjustable from 1" to 2". If I remember right its three pieces per side.

For what its worth... i had stock sized 275/55/20's on my truck for a while after the 3" body lift. Not going to lie, I would have considered keeping it that way.... but I had the itch to get the ATZs (the whole point of the lift)

 

 

 

 

 

Thus, I think 1.5" up front will look just fine with stock sized tires. Maybe some aftermarket wheels are coming up? Get a 8" wide with 5-5.5" backspace, this would really give the truck a nice stance/look with a 1.5" leveling kit and oem sized tires IMO

I purchased the top gun customs 2.5" lift running stock 265/75r17 tires.

I see that some mount to the bottom and some to the top of the strut , any advantage either way, bottom looks easier to install. Thanks everyone for the replies!

If you have any mechanic skills its not that difficult. Top mount or bottom. The kit I installed had both.

The bottom mount is "a little" easier to install,But like Derik said,neither one is that difficult to install.
