Should I Buy A Predator Tunner?

Hi, I want to know exaclty the performance i will have in my truck with a predator??

In terms of HP gains, or any other performance gains... can anyone here help me to know these advantages?

In my 05 I went from a 17.4 to a 16.6 in the 1/4 mile (33s, 4.10s, 5.3L) just by using the 87 octane performance tune.

 

Only went to the track that once and never bothered with the 93 octane tune because of how well the 87 worked for my truck. (.8 off the 1/4 mile with just a tune is impressive whether its custom or not)

 

But for GMT900 trucks they can't reprogram the TCM (trans), so I'd go with a custom tune that can for these newer trucks

On the 6.0 its a 25hp boost in HP. I'm running it on my truck and really like it. Only problem is no controls for Torque management or transmission tweaks. It does help alot for the throttle delay too. Once dialed in, your HP curve is smoother and stronger.

There are some people that will tell you the custom tune is the ONLY way to go. MY custom tune on the predator with the 5.3l will easily keep up with a stock 6l (just trying to get my buddy to the track for an OFFICIAL race) That is both empty and pulling the trailer. The canned tunes will on a 5.3 will be about 15HP. Click on the "Diablew Tuned" logo in my signature for details about custom tunes, VERY worth it. Lew does some good work.
