Rearview Mirror

Is one thing I didn't get that I now wish I had....any suggestions on how to go about adding it? GM part number? After market? I have wires going to the existing mirror for onstar, can I use those to power new mirror? Is the temp sensor already installed or would I need to run that wire?

I'm sure if you're motivated enough you can make this happen....it might be expensive though unless you can find a used mirror from eBay or a wrecking yard. I doubt the sensor is installed and have no clue about the wiring being there. Unplug your current mirror and see how many wires you have going to it. You might jot down the colors of the wires as well and then hit someone up here that has wiring diagrams for your vehicle to see if you'll need to add wiring to the existing connector or not. i also added a Gentex-261 in my truck over a year ago from a 03 silverado and its very nice with auto-dim, and the temp being right there.

 

a nice rear view mirror isnt something most people care about but im glad i did the swap lol
