Hydralic Pump/motor Qs?

So I just put together a "new" feed truck. Problem. The new feed mixer has auger style discharge not chain like the old mixer had. The truck now appears not to have enough oil volume to run the auger discharge. Feed loads up on the 3 augers and stalls out. Now with the current milk price I am not going to be able to buy a bigger pump. The pump is a vane type one putting out about....10-15gpm. The guage says 750psi @ 2300 (screaming 466) rpms. @ 1750 it runs 500psi. Much nicer rpm. I did notice a bearing on the discharge is wobbly and the augers are fairly wore down. If the augers are bad are they plugging quicker? Could I .....gear-up the augers? They run off a chain from a motor looped over all 3 auger sprokets. If I re-geared the first on would it just make 'em faster and less torquey or 'force' it though? I am going to re-plum the remote valves so the 1st remote is for the augers. I cant see how that would help since #1 is not in use while #2 is running. So it should not make any difference. Frikken' one thing it's another. Try to turn a old p.o.s. into a reliable truck and now this.....
