dreamingmuscle Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 1994 GMC 1500 My passenger door has been sagging for quite awhile and finally got to the point to where I couldn't stand it anymore. So with my sons help I replace the hinge pins and bushings. It's better but not perfect. Seems the top hinge pin hole on the door is worn out also. Is there a fix for this or is buying a new door the only option? I've thought about reaming it out some more and trying to fit another bushing in there. It would be tricky to do as there is no straight shot the hole. Any one else solved this kind of problem? Glen
Mike G Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I have a guy that owns a body shop I took mine to. It took him a few hours, dollars for parts and a 12-pack to get me up and running again.... --Mike
mcreyaufmiller Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Yes, there are oversized bushings avaiable for the hinge.
