I just bought a used 2000 model 2500 Chevrolet Classic. It has the "older" body. The sticker on the fender well says it has a 5.7 (350). When I checked the RPO codes located on the glovebox door. It says it has the L31 option, which is a 409 with solid lifters. I am sure this is not right, but I found the RPO codes on a GM website. Is it possible it has a 409? Isn't that the engine they put in Impala SSs?
