New Owner ...

Hi all, my first official post here as I'm a recent GM owner. I put a deposit on a 2008 Silverado LTZ. Love the truck but not too fond of the wood trim. I read elsewhere that the 08 Tahoe trim is a nice replacement - brushed aluminum. (http://image.trucktrend.com/f/8175848/163_...LT_interior.jpg), how hard is it to get the old trim off? Is it snap-off/snap-on, or is there adhesive there?

Dash kits are usually applied with some adhesive and it is a B***h to take off! When you do get the kit off, the next problem is taking the old glue off. I have seen a lot of dashes get ruined because of this so be careful!!

The factory wood trim snaps in place. There is no glue. I just used a small screwdriver to pop the pieces off.

Awesome thanks for the info. Did you go with brushed aluminum or something else?
