1/4 Mile Time?

i have a 2000 gmc sierra with the 4.8 and 4l60e trans 3.42 rear gears, rcsb, went like a bat outta hell stock, but now has k&n fipk, ported throttle body, computer from waitforme, and a summit racing exhaust. no spare tire, no jack, vinyl tonneau cover. heard the truck is around 4000lbs. i also have 255/65/16 tires on the back (little wider, little lower)

i was wondering what else would help me out, and what do you think my 1/4 mile time would be thanks

16's or so, high 70s/low 80s. The dragstrip timer is brutally honest. A pickup is a terrible 1/4 miler chassis with no weight in the rear. With 3.42s, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't get out of second gear at the end of the strip (well maybe barely into 3rd). That makes it essentially a 2 speed truck for the 1/4 mile.

If you want a dedicated stoplight grandprix truck, put some 5.14 gears in it, a cam, headers, maybe a o/s throttlebody, good heads, etc., and retune of course. That'll really wake it up.

My old truck was a 2000 reg cab 4.8 with similar mods as you with 3.42's and went 15.3. I think the MPH was 90 but I am not positive. Then I added a 150 shot with slicks and went down to a 13.3.
