for the longest time i've hated cds (even with a changer i hate them) and  wanted mp3s in my truck. but then after a while i realized too many ppl just have mp3s players, so why not have a whole computer for: mp3s, music videos, movies, gps, winamp vis, just about everything i do at home.

its not finshed yet. i was doing a quick little test run since i installed the screen last night. i may hold off on mounting the computer part till i have the money for finshing off the install, so the sub box and stuff can be designed at the same time.

the shifter level doesnt hit at all and i didnt modifiy it, the screen its self has settings for how open i want it. i normally leave it at the default that it is when the screen comes out.

working of it is pretty simple. the eclipse unit (and all others i've seen) have a "brain" which i have to say is a pain to deal with but oh well, and the brain has RCA inputs so all i had to do was get something with RCAs to plug into it. in the future i have plans to add a few pin hole cameras for back-up, one on the back of my sport hauler so i can see whats going on back there when i'm towing and maybe a camera for the suspension camera just about anything is possible with funds.

Slick!  Those are expensive.  I looked at one at a electronics show, and the system itself was almost a grand, and the link for internet was over 60 a month.

The truck's a 95, I figured that out.  What else is it?

i got the indash monitor and a 12 disc changer for 900.  and network connection via our wireless network.  i'd be dead if i had the true wireless inet.  i try and keep the screen closed when driving.. cops dont like the screen it seems. and if i'm tired i might mess up my nice new/used truck.

1995 Silverado 2500, 454, ext cab, long bed, alcoa style rims, cheap tires, stock speakers (for now) gooseneck hitch i'll never use.
