Oil Pressure Guage

[93_Silverado]

I just replaced my oil pressure sending unit on my 93 Silverado but now the guage is reading way off the scale way to high on the pressure guage. I disconnected the battery and let it set hoping it would reset everything but nothing happened. Disconnected the sending unit also nothing happened still reads high right when I start up and never goes back. I know the oil pressure is good, Just wonder how to fix this or what would cause it.

Did you get the correct one? Double check the part

Yea I made sure it was the correct one, now I'm wondering if it a ground problem or maybe the contacts are dirty I am going to get some contact cleaner tomorrow and try it.
