Cost Of A New Tranny And Engine ?

I'm just wondering if anyone here has had to replace their tranny. What does GM charge for the tranny and labor? I assume different trannys cost different, especially the allison, but I'm just wondering the ballpark price.

 

And what about a new GM gasoline 6.0 or 8.1 engine with labor?

I would guess that an engine"6.0" brand new from GM would be at least $4k and tranny $3k. Maybe more..
