Bose Speakers And My Dealer

Hey Guys and Gals!

I just purchased a 2008 'Certified' Sierra Denali, black on black(hence the name BoB) with 23,000 miles. NICE TRUCK!!! During the first week of driving it I noticed buzzing sounds coming from the front right side speakers. I think the right pillar speaker is just loose bacause it will buzz when the volume is off, but the right door speaker gets worse as the sound is turned up. Thing is, the buzzing comes and goes (now it's about 80% of the time) and in 4 tries to the dealer I can't get get the speakers to buzz at all. The service manager says they can't replace them without hearing the defect for themselves. I told them they could keep the truck for a week if that's what it takes to duplicate the problem but he said they don't do that. I'm not that impressed with the Bose system anyway and will probably replace it entirely, but for now I would just like the dealer to back up the warranty. Any ideas on what course of action I should take next? Didn't think it would get this complicated. :D

Thanks for hearing me out.

That definitely blows goats.

Regarding the Bose, my 06 Ford with audiophile was noticeably better. And my brother's A5 with the B&O system just shames it.

I love everything else about my truck but the sound system is truly horrible. I wish they would offer a true high-end system from the factory. And I kinda wonder if I'm not getting similar noises/feedback. Now I'm gonna have to go out and play with my radio at halftime...

"No highs, no lows...must be Bose"

Maybe it's just a piece of debris that landed on the speaker and buzzes when it lands on the cone. Possible??

HOLY CRAP

I have the same issue with my truck, I had them replace the tweeter in the A pillar but it still didn't work. This buzzing is driving me nuts, I don't think it's the speakers at all. It sounds like it's coming from inside the dash behind the air vent by the A pillar. PM me and we can try and figure this out!

You don't even need a Bose system to make these buzz. My '07 regular cab non-Bose has done this for over a year. Believe this is isolated to the door speakers. Read somewhere there is a TSB on the problem but does anyone have a real fix?
