Rural America

You should see out here... I live on a rural route along the lake shore, and everyone out here owns acrage, and people are installing flagpoles along the highway, with spotlights for night and everything, and those who can't afford that are hanging them on anything they can along the highway (Telephone poles, fence posts, mailboxes, trees, etc).  Since most of the property is mountianous and the homes aren't visible from the highway, they're taking the extra step in showing everyone by putting it out in the open and visible.

It's so awesome to see everybody pull together and work united to the cause.     It's unprecedented in U.S. History.

On Letterman's first night back after the attack, he talked about drought ridden, Chinook, Montana pop 1600, holding a fundraiser for NYC and what that says about the spirit of this country.  Very powerful image and statement -
