Grinding / Rubbing - Front End

This is hard to explain. Around half the time, my Sierra seems to have a rough grinding / rubbing feeling coming from the driver's side front tire when driving. Then the other half of the time, the truck drives as smooth as if it was floating on air. The tire is ok, no problems and the truck is properly aligned. I took it into the dealership today, and of course they just called and said they could not find anything wrong and it drove perfect.

 

Anyone have a similiar experience??

Sounds similar to my 2500 when the front hub bearings were going out. I checked them by grabbing the top of the tire and shaking the wheel in and out. When they were finally getting very noisey, they showed significant play in the wheel.

I was thinking the same thing. When it happened on my 2006 it sounded like something was dragging under the vehicle. It needed a new hub.

Thanks for the responses. I'll mention it, they want me to come back tomorrow and drive it with the tech riding. Hopefully I can make him understand what it's doing. It's at 28k, and 36k will get here fast, been doing alot of extra traveling lately.
