Kool Vue Towing Mirrors

I would like to hear from anyone with experience with Kool Vue towing mirrors on a 2007 plus Silverado / Sierra. Are the upper mirrors steady at highway speed? I have heard that they are not as steady as the OE mirrors at highway speeds. Do any of you know how they compare to the OEM tow mirrors?

 

Does anyone if the mirrors that AM-Autoparts are selling on Ebay are Kool Vue mirrors?

For the price that I paid for the towing mirrors off eBay, I'm very happy with the look and performance of the Kool Vues. The larger glass does vibrate at highway speeds, but it's not that big of deal, I can still clearly see who is behind/beside me, and I've gotten used to it. I'm assuming the OEM ones don't shake as bad, but for that cost, they better not.

 

But, fit and finish is superb, and I'm super happy. I can't imagine not having these mirrors for towing. Less than 5 minutes to install both mirrors. I might have picked up the turn signal ones, but next time.

I paid $325 canadian including shipping for the mirrors. Had to call a few times to find out when they would be shipped, but no other issues thus far.

My passenger side one shakes a lot more than the driver's side one for some reason.

 

And if you extend them out for actual towing, forget it. The damn thing shakes like mad. I'm not sure they were totally worth it.

When my mirrors are extended, I don't have any problems at all, no shaking or anything.

I was seriously looking to get these too but now I'm not sure... I'd rather pay extra if the OEM ones don't vibrate as bad as these appear to.
