Hey, On friday im going to be doing a transmission drain and refill and putting a new filter in. I was curious what your guys thoughts are on the Napa transmission filter or anything else readily available? Also how many quarts of oil is in the pan itself?

is the dexron VI in these transmissions synthetic or synthetic blend??

Should i just pick up some from the dealer part # 88861003, or go with something else wise?

I put Valvoline Dex V1 that was labeled full synthetic in my wife's Buick this summer, and it shifts better than it ever has. I had Mobil 1 in it before.

 

Dex V1 is a spec put out by GM so all who make it have to meet that spec.
