Ball Joint Replacement

I have a 2003 GMC 2500HD 4wd that has a 4" Rancho lift on it with 315/75/16 BF Goodrich AT's. I use the truck as a daily driver and as my hunting/camping truck, so it gets some exercise.

 

Anyway, the upper ball joints are both shot, or at least the rubber boot is split and the grease is spewing out. The ball joints on the tie rods are both shot too. The truck makes so awful clunking noises when going over bumps and stuff. Are the upper ball joints replacable or do they the style that require the pre-pressed kind and a new upper control arm? Does anyone recommend so high performance/heavy duty style replacements? I'd like to not have to do this again in 40k miles. Thanks.

Use MOOG parts. You can replace just the ball joints.

Most autoparts stores and other automotive suppliers sell Moog. They are good quality replacment parts.
