EvanWilliams Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Picked up a truck box at Harbor Freight (Mesquite, Tx) for 100. 20% off coupon (get em in any car mag) made it about 80 bucks. White. 2 cans of black rustoleum fixed that. Brand US General (chinese crap most likely) but feels solid and works well so far. Of interest. Another excellent box, black, diamond plate, US general but sits in bed of truck. You have to drill holes in bed. To open you would need to be in bed of truck. Low profile, very deep and roomy. 239 bucks. Looked solid.
WaterGuy Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 I've bought a lot of stuff at HF. They are only 5 miles from home. When I do buy, I have to decide if I want the item to last 100 years or mainly for the task at hand. Lately, my checkbook controls the answer. For home/hobby use I've had no real problems. Not far away is a Northern Tools store. Don't go often since the prices are not real great and the place is usually trashed i.e. hard to find stuff. And the staff has a general "don't care" attitude.
kawtoy_77 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I love Harbor Freight! I have a coupon for a rolling 3pc tool box black with gold trim for 139.99!? How do you beat that? I just don't know!
