Pace Edwards Tailgate Electronic Locker

I want to install a Pace Edwards Tailgate locker and want it to lock/actuate when I push the door lock button on my remote FOB (as in a normal install of the device), and have it unlock/actuate when I push my FOB twice like when unlocking the passenger door and rear doors. I have a 2009 Chevy LTZ crew cab. For the "normal" installation, the pace Edwards instructions say to go off the gray and tan wires in the drivers door for the driver door lock, and others say to make this easier and avoid the door, to patch into these wires up under the dash by the fusebox for a normal install.

Can anyone tell me how to wire this device for the secondary door lock/unlock from the FOB? Do I just need to go into the passenger door an tap in there on that door lock? Is there an easier way to accomplish this?

I'm basically trying to avoid unlocking the tailgate everytime I unlock the driver's door. The same as not unlocking the passenger and rear doors unless you specifically push the FOB twice to do so.

Thanks,

Tapping into the passenger door wires seems the way to go to me.

Does anyone know where I can find/locate the correct activation wires for the passenger door power lock relay under the dash or hood? If so, what color are they? I don't have a wiring diagram available for my truck.

Thanks,

I am basically doing the same job, but with a different supplier. How did you manage to remove the front door panel without breaking anything? i am trying to remove the driver's door panel, but I assume the two front panels remove the same way. Great thinking on wiring into the passenger side door, I already ran all wires to driver's side and don't feel like rerouting everything now.
