Cheap Factory Air Intake Mod

So I had an extra intake box lying around the house so I decided to do the cheap intake box mod where you drill a hole in the bottom of the box. So I decided to kick it up a notch and cut a hole in it to match up with the hole on the mounting plate. I know this won't increase HP, but it should make it flow a little better. Are there any bad effects that could come from the larger holes in the box?

That mod and a K&N filter might get you another mpg or h/p; sure couldn't hurt. Maybe I'll do my '09 and see.

Stadt, I really like that mod. Anything involving the speedshop at Lowe's or Home Depot is right up my alley. Gonna give it a shot. Thanks for the development work.
