Time To Do The Brakes

Hi, it's time for brakes on my '04 1500 4x4, 4.8l, Toyo Open Country E load tires, truck has about 125000 mi, discs front & rear.

Up to now I have gone back to the dealer for brakes but I'm on the highway everyday and recently started pulling 18ft cargo trailer with two atv's and gear.

I'd like to stop faster, are the Hawk pads and EBC rotors worth the extra money? Or is there a better replacement?

thanks for your help

There's a lot of upgrades you can do. The very FIRST thing you should do is replace the brake lines with stainless steel lines, especially since your lines are aged. Flex in brake lines = Less stopping force.

You're not going to feel a huge difference in stopping power just with different pads & rotors.... maybe a little, but nothing that's going to make you go "wow what an improvement!"

A good upgrade would be the Baer Eradispeed+1 setup for the front. This increases your rotor diameter thereby giving your brakes more mechanical advantage.
