Heather Problem, Please Help

Hi Guys, I am having problem with my Heater on a Yukon 2000 SUV, I have replaced the thermostat and flashed the Core, The core was clean and nothing in there.

there is enough coolant in the cooling system, What else can it be?

All this happened after i replaced the fuel pump, to replace the fuel pump i had to disconnect the battery, and i think it has something to do with that, but not sure what.

I check all fuses and they all look ok as well

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I knew a Heather I'd like to have had a problem with. Blond hair, green eyes you could get lost in... and tiny little waist and cute wiggle when she walked and giggle when she talked.

I went out with a Heather a few times. She had a short fuse so I didn't check it often. As I recall, I always enjoyed flashing her core! :loser:

Sounds like she rejected your software. :loser:

So this is what I did and still it below medim warm air, it is hoter then outside, but it is lukewarm, I took 3 fuses out ,HVAC under the dashboard, HVAC FR and HVAC BK, let the car sit for a good 15 to 20 minutes, put the fuse back in, start the car, let it run for good 2 to 3 minutes , turn off the car remove key open door and close, still just warm air, not hot, it is like 75 or so.

What else can it be?

Thanks

So your heater worked flawlessly before you disconnected the battery for the fuel pump replacement? Plenty of heat coming out? If so, I'd try the procedure again. This time disconnect the battery. Let it sit. Then re-connect. Turn the key on. Don't start it. Don't attempt to adjust any controls. Let the HVAC do whatever it wants to do. Just stay hands off. Wait a couple of minutes. Key off. You can try the key out and open and close the door thing. Then try starting it and taking it for a spin. Sometimes the procedure may need to be performed a couple of times. Someone with a Tech 2 can do the calibration for you.

You could have a blend door that has failed.

Is your engine running at the normal position on the temp gauge as it always has?

I took the car to a repair shop and he could not fix it, but he told he had a scan tool and he can turn on the heater with the scan tool, he says the temp in the car show's 104 so that is why the heater will not come on, but on his scan tool he does not have an option to reset the Hvac,

he tells me to take it to the dealer, any idea why it would sens wrong temp?

I will try to do batter trick when I get home

Thanks a millon guys, the battery trick did it.

I use the battery method. Hasn't failed me yet.

Note: Anytime you disconnect the battery, follow the steps to let the calibration run its course.
