Rear View Mirror Question

I have a new body style 2007 GMC Sierra with the stock rear view mirror with onstar only. I was wonder if I bought a mirror with onstar auto dim compass and temp will it work or is the truck not pre wired for the compass and temp?

I started out with a basic one myself. Do a search on this site there is a write-up about it. If your truck is like mine you will need to add some wires and a sensor. The wires are power from ignition and two sensor lines. Find the write-up it tells you what wires go where.
