Got My 4x9 Magnaflow Installed

Finally got my magnaflow installed, I got the 11" muffler and suprisingly it does not drone really that bad in the cab. He put the muffler as far back to the rear axle as he could. I thought the muffler would be a little bit louder, you really don't hear it much when you are off the gas. Will magnaflow's get louder after a while? I am using the stock exhaust pipes and just replaced the muffler.

Congrats! Magnaflows aren't as loud as others, but yes, it will get slightly louder as time goes by.

Congratulations, I am sure you will love it.

 

And if you really want to hear it roar a little more just try towing with it up a hill, or load her up with firewood and go cruising...That should make her come alive for you!

The idea of no drone is to not hear the exhaust in the cab, all the noise/roar comes out the rear. Just because it doesn't seem loud in the cab, doesn't mean it's not ferocious out the back.

Yeah, I was surprised how quiet the muffler is when I lay off the gas. Maybe placing the muffler further back helped more than I think. But I had a 14" muffler put on the 04 truck(don't have it anymore) and that muffler sounded louder and plus when I lifted off the gas I could hear it. Is the 04 exhaust compared to a 01 different?
