Odd Lighting Problem In Cab

on my 04 the far left pod(where the light switch is and stuff) it often times glows at night and more then often does not...its almost like it has a mind of its own...any ideas where to start?

The bulb is on its way out, that would be my guess.

i had a feeling it was a bulb, how do i get to it?

I don't know ,maybe take it out and take it apart,

Pop the big square trim ring off the dash...pop the black plastic off that surrounds the light switch, I think its two screws that holds the switch in...take them out, than you will see a green connector at the back and a cover with some screws. Take off the cover, and you should be able to see the bulb base. The whole switch will have to come apart though...the bulb is soldered in.

 

Same process as replacing a cluster bulb.

thank you nytemare, i've never dismantled a dash before...gmtech wtf is up your ass, not everyone on here knows how to crack a dash, if everyone knew how to fix everything you woulden't have a job.
