It's just a start and I'd like you opinion.  Kenwood Excelon KDC-x859 head unit, Crystal components ( don't know if I want the titainium or silk tweeters ) JBL 1200.1 amp for sub, Brahma 10" sub ( I'll make a subbox for under the drivers back seat, downfire) don't know if I want to replace the back speakers yet, might just run them off the head unit ) haven't decided on the amp to run the other speakers yet.  Don't know if I want to mount he component speakers in the doors or make some kick mounts, or buy some.  If I do that don't know if I want to add some mid bass to doors.  One thing I know it aint gonna be cheap.  Thanks for you feed back.

should sound pretty good if you get the components enough power. i'd put the components in the door and later you can move things around if thats what you decide.

I know the JBL bp 1200.1's are good.  qquite a few of my friends have them, and i should be getting myne soon for my kicker squares.  only concern would be that it would be too much power for your sub.

I would go with the silk tweeters, the metal ones tend ot be a little harsh, IMO, and I would rather have a tiny bit soft high end, then a hard one any day. In every one of the setups I have heard I really like, they all have fabric or silk tweeters.

you can normally give a speaker more power then its rated for, just as long as the single is clean. distortion is bad. but only with in reason. dont dump 2000 watts into a 75watt rated speaker.

and silk tweeters are the only way i would go. (forgot to mention that before)

Thanks for the replys, that sub can take all 1200 watts and then some, but I may just use the JBL 600 watt amp cause I really don't need it to be that loud.  I'm gonna have to buy it now because ampman.com has special til then end of the month, it's a new model and they have a prebuy.  I'll probably go with the silk tweeters, thanks.  Still trying to decide on an amp to drive the components, any advice is welcomed.
