Recommend A Couple Subwoofers?

i have a Kicker 500.1 Mono Amp and right now i have 2 12s in my truck under the back seat..

 

they are MTX 5500, SVC

 

one of them is making some odd noises so its time to upgrade or change

 

i would like to stick with a name brand and i would like to buy 2 brand new ones....

 

And suggestions? thanks!

JL Audio. Expensive, but quality sound. if you check out gmfullsize.com, they have a thread on the top sub companies and the different models. def a lot of good info on there. good luck

JL are awesome, but I've had really good luck with my 15" Memphis M1 and PR speakers. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I agree with JL. I just put in the center console stealth box in my 2009 silverado and the have the kicke 500.1. They people that installed it were amazed at how hard it hits and it's a single 10 but it sitting between the seats!!

 

If the box is done right and has the airspace to work with JL then two 12's will be knocking nuts and bolts loose. I'll bet you can put more power to them then get ready for a gutt punch!!

Stick with MTX man! just jump up and find some 7500.... i had them and wish i never got rid of them now i got 8500's and cant fit em anywhere lol

i never had good luck with MTX, infinity, alpine, kicker, all good names for subwoofers, i dont have any experiance with other brands.
