Throttle Position Sensor?

I have a GMC 1999 K3500 4X4 4 door longbed old body style... MODS are Volant CAI Airaid throttle body spacer, and a Superchip Flashpaq programmer. The check engine light came on and I checked in with the scanner. Throttle position sensor low input is what it read. Would this cause the truck to shift hard and not consistant?

yes and yes,replace the tps and clear codes.

O.K. I changed out the TPS and the truck is running great!!!
