Need A New Mirror Or Repair Mine

Hi guys,

 

Need help with my drivers side mirror. I got in a pickle with a trailer and caught a tree with my drivers side mirror and flipped it out the wrong way. I pushed it back and it folds up correct but when I unfold it goes all the way open and doesn't stop where it should. If I manually stop it, it works ok but its loose and flops a bit on the highway. Its a white 07 Sierra Denali with the turn signal, heat, and power fold mirror, i can even find it on gm parts.com or anything for my truck.

 

Think I can repair the 'stop' in side it or is it toast and I need a new assembly. If I need a new assembly where is a place to get one reasonably priced?

 

Do I just remove the inner triangle piece to access the bolts and plugs for the mirror? Thanks for the help.

a lot of dealers put stuff like that on E Bay.

still under warranty? take it to the dealership and say "the mirrors ****ed up, i dont know what happened"
