Auto Ride Saga Continues

so a couple weeks ago i fixed the 'service auto ride' msg on the wifes 06 denali by repairing a broke wire to one of the wheel sensors

the msg is still off, but the pump is now not working, but guess is a bad pump but I'll verify this weekend

 

once I have that verified (access to gm esi) my plan is to go the aftermarket route vs. replacing the pump, my rational is that the bags / shocks / sensors / whatever will fail next and I don't want to put that much cash into an 06

 

anyway, through posts on this site I belive I have a path through which I can get the entire system changed over to aftermarket

 

but my question

Can I swap the air bags for springs only? Or do I need to swap pump / air bags / shocks all at once?

For the springs, does anyone have a part number or link? I found this: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=auto+ride but the link isn't working

My previous understanding (I haven't dug into the air problem yet, only have traced the wiring and repaired the broken lead) is that there is a pair of air bags that are separate from the shocks. Looking at the link provided by Chris it appears that the air bags are an intregal part of the shocks.

 

Do I understand that correctly? Are the air bags part of the shocks?

If that is the case then I think I've answered my previous question around doing the springs separate from the shocks.
