40 To 60 Problems

When I hit 40 or 50 mph, my truck starts to jerk until I hit 60. I think it's the transmission. Any ideas?

Btw my transmission fluid level is full.

This sucks the labor to replace that plus buying a new one is going to be a bitch.

This sucks, I can't find any for under $300. Anyone know a good site to look at?

I was a little short earlier. What I meant is torque converter or something that controlls it. You could have an incorrect command leaving the PCM, you could have a bad wire, solenoid, valve or fluid flow issue. It sounds to me like torque convertrer shudder, the torque converter itself isn't the only thing that could cause it. For the labor and parts cost of a converter it is worth it to me to get it looked at by someone with some good experience in transmissions before shotgunning a converter at it.

I'll take it to a place I usually go to that also does transmission work Monday.

Turns out it was engine miss fire. Replaced my distributor cap, rotor, and spark plug wires. My spark plugs are only 6 months old.

The rotor was green instead of silver lol!
