Wiper Motor Or Module

I have a 1998 Silverado 1500 and the wipers will work one day and not work the next. When they are not working you can hear a buzzing sound as if the motor is trying to move the wipers but nothing is happening. Do I need to replace the wiper motor or just the module board or both? Any help would be great.
