Replacing A Ecm

Hi guys............I would like to install a custom tune for my 2007 NBS 2500 HD 6.0.

 

What I would like to do is to purchase a used ecm and send it in to be flashed and swap it out with the original when I receive it.

 

1. Is this legal

2. If I do this what will happen to my trucks odometer. Hopefully it will stay the same.

3. Anything that I am missing

2. If I do this what will happen to my trucks odometer. Hopefully it will stay the same. Nothing, Odometer info is stored in the cluster.

3. Anything that I am missing. Yes, a LOT until you get a tune.
