So Glad To Have New Tires

bought a set of 20" BOSS's with 305/50 Falkens for my new Denali. The Falken STZ's are a great dry summer tire. When the rain falls or the snow flies they are a mess. Snow, you might as well park the AWD SUV with those tires. I bought a set of Toyo Proxes ST's in 275/55's. They are not as noisy to start. We had a set of them on my wifes FX45 and they were great tires. Wore like iron. At 20k they still looked new and actually did fairly well in snow. This winter when the snow flies I will get a better idea how they do on the Denali. They are without any doubt a far better tire on wet roads and rain. The STZ's were not comfortable even when the roads were wet.

I had a set of Falken STZ04 on my 2013 Yukon, and found them very noisy, however they were a inexpensive tire that I got 35k out of.

I replaced them with a set of Pirelli Scorpion Verde, which in my mind is a far superior tire, very quiet, great in wet weather, however more expensive.

I am running 285x45R22.

I had falken tires once. Will never buy them again. If u look hard enough, u can always find a great deal on name brand tires. The last 3 time I bought tires for a vehicle, I found brand name tires at the same price as Chinese or falken type. Right now I have Goodyear wranglers on my truck. I know many don't like Goodyear, but I never had problems w them. They drive and wear normally with my driving style and the local roads.
