Silverdo Front Plate Bracket...

Well I have been looking at different ideas to mount the front plate better. I finally got this idea from another member. Its off a GMC Sierra. I had to get longer screws to mount it. It looks alright but does lean down a bit. I think its a better solution then leaving the plate wrapping around the bumper. What do you think? Thanks

I, for one, like it. Not having anything to mount the front plate on has always made me think the front end was lacking something basic. Looks alot more "finished". Do you have a part #?

I don't have a part number....but if you go to the dealership...just ask for a front lic. bracket for a 2005 GMC Sierra. They may have to order it. Then just get some longer screws and your good to go. Thanks

I found it through gmpartsdirect.com...looking at the illustration it looks like the bracket is mounted upside down. Does it fit better that way?

Yeah it is mounted upside down. There is really no other way to mount it. If you flip it around then it sticks up too far and blocks the vents in the bumper.

Having the bracket definatly makes it look better

 

I'm so glad i don't live in a state that requires a front plate
