Flasher/turn Signals Don't Work

I have a gmc Savana 3500 van and the flashers/turn signals stopped working - after I submerged the trailer light plug while launching my boat. The fuses are good but I can't find the flasher to try replacing that. I posted this issue before and got one response that said it was by the steering column - but I searched everywhere and can't find it - I have the replacement so I know what I am looking for but still at a loss. I tried the GMC dealer and he looked it up on thecomputer but said the diagram was confusing and pointed to thress different locations - near the fuse panel under the dash - on the passenger side under dash - and under hood in fuse panel. I looked at all three locations and still can't find it. It shouldn't be this hard!! Can anyone help?? Thanks. Tim
