You may not find any, that width recommends a wheel ranging from 8 to 9.5". Source: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

I thought a 275 or 285 was the widest size you can fit on stock 17x7.5 inch rim

Yeah, no good. Cant use a stock rim with that size, the stockers are to narrow.

Oh, you can use that tire on that width wheel, people have been running the 305/70R16 on GM stock 16X6.5" since 92. They'll wear the center out a little fast, but...... I think they'll work, but you'll get more rub than with the 285/7017, and most brands, the 285 is a smidge taller. It also wont road walk as bad with the 285's.
