Thinking Of Removing Vent Visors To Reduce Noise

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking of taking my vent visors off my 2000 Extended cab. I just have them over the driver and passenger windows (not the rear vent windows). I am thinking of doing this because I drive a lot more on the highway than I used to and I think they are generating quite a bit of wind noise. I've always had them on, so don't know what it sounds like with out them. Anyone have any experience listening to airstream noise with the visors on and off?

Yes they do create noise. When I first bought my 02 I took it back to the dealer for what I thought was excessive noise and the problem ended up being the vent visors I had installed. I like them on the truck so I left them.
