Gm Supplier Discount: Worth It?

Dealers can't budge from it, its a fixed invoice price. If they sell for anything other than that, they are not selling at supplier. Don't know if this is true all over but most dealers around here say credit union members get supplier pricing as well. Even the loand officer at local credit union told me that I could get supplier pricing by telling them I was a credit union member and I did not have to use credit union money to get that price.

Two GMC Dealers I went to to order my 2012 offered to sell it at invoice, another wanted $600 over invoice which he claimed was supplier price? I ordered the truck at invoice. I do not plan to trade in.

the GM Supplier Discount is the same thing as GM Preferred Pricing, which is lower than invoice price. if you want to get a better deal, tell them they have no deal unless they remove the local marketing fees they tack onto every vehicle to pay for their billboards and commercials around town and on the TV.

if you go to www.gmsupplierdiscount.com there is a build your own tool to determine how much the discount is compared to MSRP. be sure to take the build your own summary with you to compare to the dealerships "price" to make sure they are giving you a fair deal. ALL GM rebates still apply with the discount!

Thanks Guys. From reading all the reply's. It seams that supplier pricing works for some and not for others.

And if you do belong to a credit union you can get the supplier pricing .
