Well, It doesnt do it too bad at all but you CAN tell. When its in park/neutral it revs up just fine, BUT when you engage in drive it sounds a bit rough and runs a bit rougher. and when goin up hill it stalls a bit... I already replaced all spark plugs and installed new wires. i cleaned the injectors and all the basics. someone help please?

What do you mean by stall??

Stalling means it completely quits and the engine dies...this doesn't sound anything like what your describing.

Are you getting a Check engine light?

Excuse me, I didnt mean stall... hmm. It tries to stall? its hard to explain and yes i do have 1 engine code throwing its a faulty knock sensor. I plan to replace soon. Anyways, ok i know the word to use now... It bog's down if that makes better sense.

yup...bog is a much better term...the faulty knock sensor is pulling timing causing everything your describing...get it replaced.

So basicly the knock sensor is messing with other things? -_- this is why i love OLD engines the ones from the 70's and 80's they didnt have all this electrical crap. So do ya know where its located sir?

The knock sensor tells your computer when you are getting pinging...the computer than retards the timing so your engine doesn't end up with a hole in the piston. In your case now, the sensor is screwed up...and is telling the ECM that you have a ping when you dont....but it still pulls the timing so your engine doesn't blow up...this causes you to bog down on hills....and under load, etc.

I know it sounds complicated....and under the hood can be a little intimidating to someone from the school of carbs....That was me a few years ago....until I found out what you can do with all this electronics and sensors and computer stuff. Of course it helps to be trained to work on weapons systems that have more electronics in one cabinet than GM makes in one year.
