04' Heat Only Blows Out Of Front Vents

I have an 04' Sierra 2500 6.0 and ever since I bought it, the vents only blow out the front. The switch that puts it on defrost or to your feet hasn't worked either so being that it's getting colder I'd like to figure this out. Should I take the whole switch out of a truck in the junk yard or is there more to it than that? Thanks again.

It is most likely the Blend door actuator.

 

BUT before you go to the dealer try the reset procedure thats

been floating around on the GM forums:

 

Try looking for the HVAC fuse under the hood.

pull the fuse for about five minutes, reinstall it then turn the ignition on don't touch the controls for another 5 minutes. The system will run through all the settings.
