Digital camera

I'm looking to buy a digital camera and I'm wondering what you all have. I'm not much of a photographer but would like a simple operating one with 2.1 or higher pixil rate. I'd like to spend about ? or less on it. Where is the best place to buy, I've been looking on the net and the prices seem cheaper. many have free shipping and no sales tax. How much storage with the standard 8mg "smart card". Do most come with software? USB?

I would reccomend to look at either a Sony or Nikon Product. I've heard good things abou both.(I own a Sony)

I just got a Kodak DC3400 from Costco. It came with software, rechargeable batteries, charger, 32MB card, for ?. It's basically a point and shoot but I'm very happy with it.

Try a Canon G1. I have had mine since January and Love it. It's USB and has lots of software. You best bet in looking for a camera is go to http://www.dpreview.com. They have reviews on all digital cameras made for the last couple of years. All of you questions will be answered by their reviews. Then use http://www.mysimon.com to find the best price. The G1 has dropped from a high of ? in January to ? last month and it's still going down. This is a 3.4 mega pixel camera, it also shoot up to 30sec. videos with sound. It uses compact flash and IBM's micro drives (384 meg and 1 gig hard drives). With a 64 Meg compact flash and set on medium resolution you can get 200 to 300 pictures per 32 Meg.
