Installation Of Aga2701 Fm Alarm W/ Remote Start

Hi,

I am trying to install this alarm with remote start on my '99 Tahoe Diesel, and was hoping for some help regarding a few problems I have experienced.

Can someone tell me if the car har some kind of passlock system for the ignition ? If so, what type, and how do I manage to get around this to get my remote start to work ?

3 wires I would appreciate if someone knew where to connect:

1. Violet/white wire, Tachometer

2. Grey/black wire, Wait to Start

3. Red wire, usually connected the oil sensor

Hope someone can assist

1. Usually something like an injector or spark plug, using a multimeter find an AC signal that varies with engine RPM

2. The wait to start light in your gauge cluster. If you don't have one then just +12 or ground, whichever the instructions says its not looking for to delay start.

3. Not familiar with the brand, I've always worked with DEI systems and they don't have a wire like that so I don't know. I would guess the wire coming form the oil pressure sensor that triggers the light in the dash?

You probably need a bypass module, your local shop can look it up and sell you the right one and flash it for you.
