$94 For Theftlock?

Bought a new touchscreen navi off ebay, obviously it's theftlocked. Dealer quoting $94 for unlock....which is absolutely ridiculous.

 

Are the dealers the only ones who have the Tech II scantool? Any DIY method?

do some searching online, there may be other ways, I know, if you would like to test the functionality, you can do so by turning the key to the acc. mode, and then unhooking the battery for 3-5 seconds, and reconnect, and the radio should work temporarily until you move the key from the acc. position.

Thanks, already tested it and it works perfectly. I read a lot of your posts from another related thread actually, I've been online all day long and while I've found manual programming instructions for the older non navi models, I can't find a damn thing for the newer models (15800000). A guy at one of the dealerships I called said that 03's aren't nav compatible, the control module can't handle it . Hard to believe this guy was actually a service SUPERVISOR. I told him I've been using a non touchscreen navi in the truck for over a year with no problems...that seemed to piss him off.
