Face Lift

I know there is a face lift coming up for 2011 for the Sierra and Silverado, but what about the Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, XL, Denali, and how about all of the Escalade's? I assume they are going to face lift the entire line sometime between 2011 and 2012? Maybe something similar to 02 to 03? I'm expecting front end and rear end cosmetic changes on the exterior and electronic upgrades/updates on the interior?

Do you reckon they might have a 100th year edition GMC in 2012?

I've looked around and have not found anything on 1500s but did find some on the GMC HD.

Only the HD trucks are getting a mid-cycle enhancement for 2011. The light duty trucks aren't getting updated until 2013 or so, when they will be getting a ground-up redesign. Presumably this will also include new more fuel efficient engines and transmissions with features such as Direct Injection.

 

When the HD trucks are unveiled later this month at the Chicago auto show, expect to see new Duramax Diesels which meet new US regulatory standards much like the new Powerstroke that Ford has been working on.

I doubt it, as GMC is often listed as having been founded in 1901 even though the GMC Trucks brand did not come about until 1912. Even if they did have a centennial edition, it probably wouldn't amount to much more than a couple special fender badges or something.

I'd don't believe they are going to run all the 1/2 ton chassis trucks until the redesign in 2013. That doesn't make any sense. If they do, they are going to be outdated when compared to what everyone else is offering. They must be getting some type of a face lift.
