97 5.7 P0102 P0340 - No Voltage Maf Sensor

A couple of days ago the truck threw a P0102/P0340. After reading most of the posts on this I thought I had over oiled my K&N a couple of weeks ago. So, I pulled it all apart, used brake cleaner (as read in another post) to clean the MAF. Everything looked very clean with no build up on the screen or on the wires in the MAF.

I started checking voltage. I'm not an "expert" by any means, so I may not be doing this correctly. However on the three wires to the MAF, I get an even 5v on one side (Battery was 12.37v not running but "on"), middle seems to be ground and the other side is 0v. I assume this needs at least 5v to match the other side or possibly +12v to match the battery. (I don't have a service manual)

I looked at the wires and found the one with 0v looked to have a fold/crimp/nick (difficult to actually describe the spot). I cut it, stripped some wire to get a good connection and soldered it back together. I still have the 0v.

Some posts seemed to indicate there is a fuse somewhere. I took off the fuse cover inside the driverside dash and naturally didn't see anything that said "MAF Sensor Fuse".

Am I heading down the right direction and where might I find the possibly blown fuse (if there is one)? I know once I find this fuse, if it pops again I know the repair to my wire wasn't the problem and that I have another issue.

Thanks in advance!

Larry
